Question Drive Shaft Reconditioning Services

Hi all,

Back from a great run out at the annual Fingal show. Great turn-out this year and some tasty motors turned up - not to mind the oddities and contraptions that turn up at these events, good encouragement when you see the results of a bit of effort & some spare pocketmoney.

I had the little lorry with me & am in need of some help...

Driveshaft is hanging by a thread - the rear hardy spicer is on it's very last legs & the carrier bearing is worn loose. Anyone know of where I can get the full driveshaft reconditioned?

I've also a fairly bad hemorrhaging of oil from somewhere but was too 'boneshaken, beaten & deafened' after arriving home to inspect any further, hopefully all it OK - never noticed the oil pressure dropping at any stage.

Need to get it sorted fairly quickly - she's booked into the Great Dorset Steam Fair this year & needs to be got a bit more reliable for that run!!

Any / all help appreciated!

Cormac

There is a place near Charleville that reconditions driveshafts and propshafts, send Justin a PM he knows of them.

Cheers
Jon

PS Are you going into the Limerick Grand Prix Celebration on Sunday?

Cool, many thanks!

Yea, Sue was telling me about something on this weekend - didn't know it was on. Will drop in for a run alright, but I've a good few things to get over the line this week before I can think about the real important stuff!!

Glad all are keeping well down our way - catch up at the weekend.

Cheers

A chap on the MGOC Forum mentioned the Limerick Grand Prix event, and is saying that there are only two street-based Grand Prix events in the world.... Limerick and of course, Monaco...

I'm overseas until the end of next week so will miss that, shame...

I think that man is a bit out of touch. The 'Limerick Grand Prix' was held a long long long long long time ago, and cannot seriously be held up as a Grand Prix Circuit. I've been to 2 Grand Prix this year, Spain and Monaco, both held on the streets...Nostalgia and rose tint methinks
